Mid-1800's survey of the original Hopewell Site at Chillicothe, Ohio. It was an incredible set of earthworks and mounds covering nearly 130 acres. The outer walls ran for over 2 miles and 29 burial mounds were at the site. It was likely constructed around AD 200-500. From: Squier & Davis, 1858.
